Spring turkey hunting- VA season April 12, 2008 - May 17, 2008

Rates: $150/day per hunter (max 2 hunters), hunts can range from 1 to 3 days, rate does not include lodging or meals but we'll probably have you over at least one night for a cookout. Hunting until noon.

Other info: Gobblers can be hunted with shotguns, bow or crossbow. Season limit is three bearded birds, one per day. Expect to hear alot of gobbling and prepare to do alot of walking. Insects can be a problem later in April and early May. The last two weeks of the Virginia spring gobbler season allow for all day hunting. Although this is an option, by then the weather is warming significantly so expect to hunt primarily in the mornings.
